Frankenstein and the gang are still stuck in the Phantom Zone while discovering that Black Adam has been trapped there and wants to find a way out. Frankenstein has to fight Black Adam while trying to get the rest of the team out through the portal, leading to the explosion that caused the death of Stormwatch. Frankenstein manages to get rid of Black Adam while losing the use of his arm, but it’s okay as they now know that Stormwatch is officially died.
On Cadmus Island, Grifter finds out that he is going to be working for Slade Wilson while hunting Daemonties. While practicing his karate, Slade talks with a little girl who also happens to have the abilities to see Daemonites. We later find out that the young girl is named Fifty Sue…haha DC Comics, you are SO funny.
Lois Lane talks with Tim Drake’s girlfriend and as it turns out, his girlfriend’s father was responsible for funding illegal weapons during the Earth 2 war. Madison Payne (Tim’s girlfriend) asks Lois to stop following Tim and just leave him be. Madison knows that Lois destroyed her life when she broke the story about her father.
Meanwhile, Ronnie is mourning the loss of his mother who died during the Earth 2 War. This gives some explanation about why he’s been going mental lately. Jason starts to find out more about his professor’s project.
Terry is having a worse day as Michael Holt, aka Mister Terrific, confronts him about being the mysterious Batman. Terry responds by literally transforming into Batman Beyond and flying away. Michael sees what Terry was hiding while being introduced to Plastique and her crew.
This issue actually answers a lot of questions that I felt were going to be left unanswered for a while. Awesome action and a great cast of characters make this latest installment of the series a very good read.
